Ingredients

  • 1tbsp


    olive oil

  • 1


    onionfinely diced

  • 2cloves


    garlicminced

  • 75gram


    Vegan ham/baconyou can make your own vegan tofu bacon with my recipe here or buy a pre-made pack of vegan ham/bacon

  • 150grams


    grated vegan cheeseI recommend Follow Your Heart cheddar, but anything that melts well

  • 1


    pre rolled puff pastry sheet



  • unsweetened plant milk

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200°C

  2. Add olive oil to frying pan on medium heat.

  3. Add the onions and the garlic.

  4. Lightly fry for 5 minutes until soft.

  5. While the onion and garlic are frying, finely chop the ham/bacon.

  6. When onions and garlic start to lightly brown remove from heat.

  7. Add onions, garlic, ham and cheese to a bowl. Season well with salt and pepper and mix until well combined.

  8. Roll out the puff pastry sheet.

  9. Cut the sheet into 6-8 squares depending on the size of the pastry.

  10. Place a generous amount of the mixture into the center of each square of pastry.

  11. Fold each of the four corners of the pastry to meet the center.

  12. Pinch each of the newly created corners to seal the jambon.

  13. Place the jambons on a sheet of greaseproof paper(one most likely came with the pastry) on a baking tray.

  14. Brush the jambons lightly with plant milk using a pastry brush.

  15. Cook for 20-25 minutes until the jambons are golden brown.
